Welcome to November!

James Russell-Field, Communications Chair and Director of Administrative Services for the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween. Personally, my wife and I took part in our favorite tradition of finding a matching costume for our dog and wrangling our cats into something fun. After this last weekend, I have seen a lot of great costumes for individuals, couples, kids, and pets! Please join us on social media and share your favorite photos from this Halloween!

We have some great articles lined up for CSMFO News in November 2021. Keep an eye out for a two-part feature on Utilities Users Tax, the October 12th CSMFO Board Meeting recap, chapter highlights, and information on the 2022 CSMFO Annual Conference.

Speaking of which, registration for the 2022 CSMFO Annual Conference is now open! If you missed the October 29th CSMFO News article on the conference, click here to check out some great information including in-person and virtual registration options (including opportunities for additional CPE), session descriptions, and scholarship information.

November is a month to reflect and be thankful, and I wanted to give special thanks to our veterans. Let’s take time on November 11th to think of and thank those who have sacrificed for our country and provided examples of courage, bravery, and dedication through their service.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Remember to take some time from work and spend time with family and friends!
