Marques Ogden, Featured Speaker for February 18, 2022

David Cain, Senior Advisor, CSMFO Communications Committee

We’re excited to present another preview of the Featured Speakers at the CSMFO 2022 Annual Conference in San Diego. Marques Ogden’s featured presentation is scheduled for Friday, February 18, 2022.

Growing up in a single-parent home with a father that inspired perseverance and fairness, Marques Ogden learned how to define his values and set goals.  Ogden attended Howard University from 1998-2002 where he played Division I football.  Ogden then followed his dream and his brother Jonathan’s footsteps, eventually getting drafted into the National Football League (NFL) in 2003. Overall, he played for five years as an offensive lineman with the Titans, Bills, Ravens, and Jaguars.

In 2007, following his NFL career, Ogden started Kayden Premier Enterprises, a construction company that quickly escalated to being a multi-million-dollar construction firm.  In 2012, Marques was 31 years old and thought he knew everything.  He thought he was the smartest, most talented person in the universe.  Looking back on that situation now at the age of 37, he realizes that he was an ineffective leader because he did not have a mentor/coach to guide him in how to continually grow his booming business.  Due to that fact, he made some really poor decisions; and in 2013, it all crashed down around him when Ogden got involved with a bad business deal that ended up putting him in bankruptcy in 2013 and costing him everything.  Today, Ogden’s passion is keynote speaking and executive coaching others on how to look at their vision with a “clear” set of eyes.

Join us on Friday, February 18, 2022 as Ogden shares strategies on how to successfully seize opportunities even when you have lost everything.  Learn strategies and techniques to push through adversity and how to overcome self-doubt and fear. Discover how to become a better leader. Learn how to create real value, and increase your chances for success.  Stick around for the inspiring closing session.

Don’t miss out on this featured speaker and many other great sessions. Register for the conference today, not that early bird registration ends this Friday, December 17, 2021!
